Jump ahead about seven years, and I moved into the big-leagues...with money gifted me by way of a savings bond from a long-dead great aunt, I purchased a Minolta XG-7 with wide-angle, zoom and macro lenses! What an awesome tool!

When I was 15, I had a couple of good friends, David & Bobby, who were both big into photography, and so we three decided to audition for the program at the High School for Performing and Visual Arts (Houston), better known as HSPVA--or PVA as insiders call it.
Here are a couple of shots from my audition portfolio.  I also included some of my poetry and drawings.
The photography students were thick as thieves at PVA.  Some of our closest friends were Mark, X, Rusty, Lisa, Big Mike, David d, Chrysanthy,  and I was "Ace".  And then there was Pegy--she dreamed of being a Playboy bunny.  If you were to ask any of these folks who Angie Campbell was, I doubt they'd remember, but Ace is a differents story.......Here Ace is pictured while re-touching a photo.
